Activision Early Careers
Client
Activision Blizzard is a gaming company that cascades into three different other brands — Activision, Blizzard, and King. Each one of these companies has a talent recruitment branch that goes from seeking out new talent and internships to in-company dynamics and team building. Each branch runs multiple programs that then run within one of the three main companies or the parent company.
Challenge
Our challenge here was to create the brand for the HR department inside Activision, which will be called Activision Early Careers. The goal was to create a new brand for the Careers department, while also leveraging the Parent Company’s identity, portraying trust and world-class technology and best early career-tech, creative, and entertainment talent.
Results
First off, we wanted to create a brand new logo for this branch, which would make it identifiable when talking about the department. The symbol, which we called Elevate, relates to Activision’s iconic retro aesthetic while also representing the onboarding of new talent. Activision is a long-time name in the gaming industry and this retro look brings out some fond memories for the audience that grew up with it. Our result was a logo that showcased the department’s name alongside the main brand logo, signal boosting it as a sub-brand of Activision. The result was a straightforward, clean logo that got straight to the point while also keeping the brand identity and honoring its aesthetic.
