BIGMODE

+ Project info

About the project

Concept, Brand Identity and Website Design. BIGMODE is an indie games publisher focused on teaming up with passionate developers who want to make unique and original games. The brainchild of 7M+ subscribers-Youtuber and gamer VideoGameDunkey, BIGMODE helps to fund, create and promote games they love.

The challenge

The design came from the naming concept that was given to us by the client. It’s not often that happens but the idea was too great not to explore. There’s a lot of meaning behind Biggy the frog. Frogs are a sign of upcoming rainfall, a symbol of fertility (they can lay up to 20,000 eggs at a time), abundance and potential. That was tons for us to tap into. Our challenge then was to translate all these meanings into a young, digital-ready, modular and iconic brand.

The results

Biggy was born. We designed a mascot that is the heart and soul of BIGMODE. Our frog brings freshness and a funky style to make the layouts modern and energetic. Biggy has two different states, standard and puffed out. This growing movement is the direct expression of abundance and the evolution of BIGMODE’s beloved partnerships. Typography-wise, we chose two complimentary typefaces that are modern, clean, and legible. MONUMENT type for titles, headlines and punchy sentences. MANROPE for big text blocks and as a secondary typeface. Our color palette is bold, exciting, & creative. It speaks directly to Gen Z, bringing a fresh and powerful tone to our brand.
