Ascension is a corporate real estate advisory firm created by Chelsea Mendel and Mike James to accelerate the pace of progress in the industry and achieve a higher standard of real estate advisory services. With offices in New York City, Los Angeles, and Phoenix, the firm has more than 60 advisors and dedicated staff whose collective goal is to elevate corporate real estate efficiency, strategy, access, and insight for financial sponsors and business owners, globally.
Our biggest challenge was to create a branding project that defies traditional standards within an industry that is known for its conservatism. We needed to evolve the industry as a whole and inspire a new era of brokerage. We are rewriting the rules and rebranding the antiquated reputation of real estate. In order to do that, we needed to find the perfect balance between coolness and seniority. We needed to showcase the powerful duality between Chelsea and Mike.
Ascension combines timeless knowledge with a modern perspective to break boundaries and raise the bar for the real estate industry. Both the lettering and the symbol have a minimalist style and talk to each other easily. The typeface is easy to read and aesthetically correct. The symbol compliments this by representing both sides of the business in a simple, modern, elegant and forward thinking way. The symbol places equal importance on the different strengths at play in the business. It showcases the (r)evolution made by 4 hands and that the new - which is still yet to come - can ascend and be a game-changer in the Corporate Real Estate Market.
