EAT was hired by the esports betting giant unikrn to develop a fresh brand identity for their comeback in 2022. Based on a strong value proposition for its product verticals, as well as for its new creative platform, the latest branding project should stand out among unikrn's competitors. By telling a unique story, our goal was to position unikrn as the industry leader in skill gaming and esports.
Our main challenge was to put gaming at the forefront of the online betting market through a brand strategy and visual identity that align with unikrn's existing product suite. The work is built to perform in the digital world; is anchored in unikrn's intent and mission; and gives a platform to all unikrn products, which will not only inform the role for each individual product but will enable marketing to amplify the brand across new markets.
The result was a brand identity that lived and breathed unikrn's ethos. The icon is strong, solid & trustworthy using the figure of an abstract unicorn horn, inspired by the logotype "u"& "n" characters. It's a bold and straightforward solution within a circle that speaks to the safety and excitement of esports and gaming betting. The chosen typography was timeless, legible and completely versatile to meet unikrn's many applications. We coupled that with a vibrant and exciting colour scheme with unique visual textures to reflect unikrn's edge over its competitors.
