Interactive entertainment company and mobile-first video game developer and publisher, Los Angeles-born Scopely was looking to create something fresh for a new venture that sits under their umbrella company. EAT was tasked with developing a brand name and brand design for Scopely's new studio now based in Barcelona and Los Angeles. 

Challenge

To create a name and a brand that connected with the parent company, which still emanated the essence of the new city, Barcelona along with the sunny LA and its new team. We had to connect two universes and build a strong, contemporary, yet timeless brand. For that, we tapped into the history of the studio’s location and the buzzing culture to create something with real cut-through. 

Results

You can feel the vibe of the place jumping off of the screen. We created a name that conveys exactly the message we wanted through a plural, young, dynamic, and strong visual identity for a global brand. — A famous city street is called Parallel because it is built over a parallel 41º22'34". Traditionally this street has been the one for theatres, music places, and fun(just like our Broadway). Through several icons and a wide color palette, we were able to translate the essence of the Parallel universe and values to design.
